June 2022

This month’s meeting was slightly different for a couple of reasons.

Since the parking lot at our meeting location is scheduled to be blacktopped, we made this an “all Zoom” meeting. (It’s good to have options.) And, probably because of our “online” meeting capabilities, we were glad to be joined by a couple of members who haven’t been able to attend our meetings recently. (Good to see both of you!)

But the big CinDay projects this month have been about NBSI Guilds, and the upcoming 2022 NBIS Festival Gathering.

Since CinDay is a long standing NBSI Guild (our history goes back as far as 2004), we were asked to contribute to an article about Guilds in an upcoming edition of The Biblical Storyteller, the magazine published by the Network. CinDay and other Guilds will have a chance to “tell their stories” — of forming and performing, of learning, teaching and telling, of creating “communities of storytellers” — all with the goal of sharing the stories of the Bible.

And our other news: members of the CinDay guild (as well as other storytellers and guilds) have been invited to lead daily worship at the 2022 Festival Gathering in August. The Festival Gathering is in Baltimore this year, and you can find more information on that at the Network’s website.
