August 2021

For our second hybrid meeting, we were 4 in person, and 2 online. (I think we’re getting the hang of this.)

We talked about our experiences at the recent online 2021 Festival Gathering of the Network of Biblical Storytellers, Intl. This is our annual international meeting for members of the network, and the 2nd year it’s been online. We connected with other storytellers in the US and around the world (you could tell who was in India and Australia by the nighttime views on their Zoom screens), absorbed the featured speaker’s insights, joined workshops and enjoyed the Epic Telling of the Gospel of Mark (if it seems short, we stopped at the point that scholars believe is the real and original end of Mark).

And learned to used several new online platforms. All very much worth the occasional technical exasperations.

Our local CinDay members have also been busy contributing more story videos to the Network’s Lectionary Project – I recommend the Samuel stories that several of our members have posted, but I’m sure we’ll be adding other stories in the future.
