Our April meeting was a “first” for CinDay…our first online meeting. In keeping with the current Covid-19 guidelines restricting in-person meetings, we met by video conference. (And it worked pretty well!)
There were 8 smiling faces on my screen as we shared our personal quarantine experiences, talked about virtual storytelling in our various church settings, and our hopes/plans for when we can meet and tell in person again. A few churches are live streaming worship, or recording and posting on social media for their members to watch at their convenience.
We also tossed around ideas for how CinDay could serve the greater community with video storytelling. Could we provide short storytelling videos of healing and survival for hospital or nursing home chaplains to share with their residents? Stories of community and support for congregations?
